This year, a lot of international songs were tagalized. Most of them are hit songs from Rihanna, Fergie, Leona Lewis and Beyonce Knowles. There is only one voice behind this and she is more known as Miss Ganda.
I first saw her when she was featured in the show "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho" where she was interviewed about the songs that she revived in tagalized version. Some of her songs include Lampa "(Ika'y Mag-Ingat) (Clumsy)", "Sugat Sa Puso (Bleeding Love)", "Ms. Binibining Ganda (Beautiful Girls)" and "Wag Mong Pigilan (Awit Ng Tugtugan) (Don't Stop The Music)". Her videos are now being seen in Youtube. Now she launched another tagalized song from Beyonce which is "Single Ladies" which I haven't heard the tagalog title but I heard the song already.
Honestly, I'm really not in favor of what she is doing because the meaning of the song differs as she tagalized it (medyo nakakainis kaya!!!). Also, if she wants to stay longer in the industry, I believe that she should create her own name.
Surprisingly, last Sunday, after her performance in ASAP09 together with Sheryn Regis, she was given by a Gold Record Award for her album "Hip-Rap". I just laughed and and thought that she was able to get that award while other artists really need to stretch their vocal cords just for their album to reach a Gold status.
I'll just give her the benefit of the doubt that she can still sing. That's it!
